Stanwell Opens Barron Gorge Visitor Centre
Stanwell is a Queensland Government Owned Corporation that owns and operates a portfolio of power stations encompassing diverse technologies, including coal-fired thermal, wind and hydroelectric power.
After numerous successful projects for Stanwell we were recently commissioned to design signage and a new display system for their newly built visitors centre at Barron Gorge Hydro Power Station.
Located on the Barron River, just outside of Cairns and within the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area.
The project gave us an opportunity to utilise spectacular imagery of the region as well as highlight the history and significance of the power station.
The visitor's centre opened late last year and is free to visit if you're in the area.
